• Maintain these investments for a minimum of 5 years

Amendments in the CYPRUS Citizenship Program as declared on the 18th of August in the Cyprus Government Gazette.

• Parents and Parents-in-law of the main applicant can be added in the same application, provided the Parent-in-law make an additional investment of €500,000 in the real estate in Cyprus.
• The Non-refundable donation amount towards Government Fund, to obtain citizenship in Cyprus has been increased to €200,000 from €150,000.
• There is no change in the value the investor will need to invest in the real estate of Cyprus to be eligible under this program. The investment should be maintained for 5 years. And the number people to be employed are now 9.
• The investor will have to submit the certificate from Police records about clean background which should be valid for the next 6 months from the date of application
• According to the current amendment law, a high-ranking Government official or public figure, can apply for this citizenship, provided the individual is not holding any profile of that stature during the last one year before submission of application
• All those people who are in some or the other manner related to people or legal entities which are subject to EU sanctions, are not eligible to participate in this program.
