These countries have dedicated immigration pathways for entrepreneurs with which you can relocate to the country to pursue your dreams of a start-up.
Canada Start-up Visa –
Canada has time and again declared that the country has achieved its success due to its immigrants. Its Start-up Visa program invited innovative founders to relocate to Canada: up to 5 individuals could apply as partners in the same business, each with a Letter of Support from a designated organization. Canada stopped accepting new Start-up Visa applications on 31 December 2025 and paused the program on 30 June 2026. Entrepreneurs can still look at provincial entrepreneur streams, which require a business plan, a minimum investment and a minimum net worth.
UK Innovator Founder Visa –
Another such visa program is offered by the UK. The Innovator Founder visa replaced the Start-up and Innovator visas on 13 April 2023. Entrepreneurs intending to relocate to the UK need an endorsement from an approved endorsing body, which checks that the business idea is innovative, viable and scalable. The applicant submits the endorsement letter and business plan with the application.
The visa is granted for three years and can be extended, and founders who meet the endorsement requirements can apply to settle in the UK after three years. The entrepreneur can bring his immediate family to the UK on this visa.
Ireland Start-up Entrepreneur Programme –
Ireland is one of the most famous and developed countries in Europe. The country is a hub for many multinationals opening their European branches, mainly because of its corporate tax policies and infrastructure. Ireland’s Start-up Entrepreneur Programme (STEP) suits those who intend to migrate to Ireland to start a new business there. Applicants need at least EUR 50,000 in funding for an innovative, high-potential start-up. Permission is first granted for two years and can be renewed for three more, and time in Ireland can count towards Irish citizenship, which requires five years of reckonable residence.

It invites entrepreneurs who intend to start their own business there through its France Talent Passport Program, under the business creation category. Applicants need a real and serious business project and at least EUR 30,000 of project financing. The Talent Passport is issued for up to four years and is renewable. After five years of legal residence in France, the entrepreneur can apply for a 10-year resident card.
