Many countries are becoming part of the group of countries that offer Citizenship by Investment programs. Investing in a new country adds to the investor’s personal wealth. St. Kitts & Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program-
St. Kitts & Nevis, the island of the Caribbean located between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean is a dual island. Of the two, St. Kitts is the bigger one and houses dormant volcanoes.
The St. Kitts & Nevis CBI Program offers four routes: the Sustainable Island State Contribution, approved developer real estate, private real estate and the Public Benefit Option.
There are many beautiful resorts in St. Kitts, and many approved real estate projects are resort developments.
The Sustainable Island State Contribution is USD 250,000 for a main applicant or a family of up to four. Real estate starts at USD 325,000 in an approved development or for a private condominium, and USD 600,000 for a private single-family home, and it must be held for seven years. The Public Benefit Option is USD 250,000. Government fees and due diligence are extra. St Kitts citizens can visit the UK visa-free with an ETA and the Schengen Area visa-free for short stays.
Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Program –
Antigua & Barbuda is known for its sunshine and is said to have 365 beaches, one for every day of the year, where you can enjoy adventure sports and the weather. Many carnivals are celebrated on the beaches here.
The investor can choose to contribute to the National Development Fund or invest in approved real estate. The National Development Fund contribution is USD 230,000, whatever the size of the family. Approved real estate starts at USD 300,000 and must be held for five years. Government processing and due diligence fees are extra.
New citizens must spend at least five days in Antigua and Barbuda during the first five years after citizenship. Antiguan citizens can visit the UK visa-free with an ETA, but since 1 January 2026 they face a partial suspension of US visa issuance under US Presidential Proclamation 10998.
St. Lucia Citizenship by Investment Program –
Located on the eastern side of the Caribbean, this island is covered with tapered mountains on the west coast and is home to quite a number of volcanic beaches, reef diving sites, and luxury resorts. St. Lucia offers the St. Lucia Citizenship by Investment program, through which interested investors can invest in the island to obtain citizenship there. The program was started in January 2016. Investors can contribute to the National Economic Fund or choose approved real estate, government bonds or an enterprise project.
The contribution to the National Economic Fund is USD 240,000 for an applicant alone or with up to three qualifying dependants.
If the investor intends to obtain citizenship through pre-approved real estate, the minimum investment is USD 300,000, plus administrative fees. Since 5 March 2026, Saint Lucian citizens need a visa to visit the UK.
Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment Program –
Dominica’s natural landscape is covered with mountain ranges, natural hot springs, and tropical rainforests. Dominica is known for its rivers, waterfalls and volcanic beaches. Dominica’s CBI program, running since 1993, is one of the best-known citizenship programs in the world. Since 19 July 2023, Dominican citizens need a visa to visit the UK, and since 1 January 2026 they face a partial suspension of US visa issuance under US Presidential Proclamation 10998.
Dominica has defined two pathways to invest in the country. One is the real estate pathway and the other is a donation to Government funds.
A contribution to the Economic Diversification Fund costs USD 200,000 for a single applicant, or USD 250,000 for a main applicant with up to three dependants.
Dominica has many beautiful resorts. To invest in approved real estate, the minimum is USD 200,000, plus a government fee of USD 75,000 for a single applicant or USD 100,000 for a main applicant with up to three dependants. The property must be held for at least three years.
Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program –
Grenada the spice island of the Caribbean is famous for the beautiful clean water that surrounds the island. This country is known to keep the ocean clean and their land green. Grenada offers its Grenada citizenship by investment program to high net-worth individuals who intend to invest in a foreign land for a second passport. This program was launched in 2013. Grenada is the only one of these five countries with an E-2 investor treaty with the United States, and Grenadian citizens can visit the UK visa-free with an ETA.
To qualify, a single applicant contributes USD 150,000 to the National Transformation Fund (USD 200,000 for a couple or a family of four), or invests in approved real estate: USD 220,000 in a project approved under that option, or USD 350,000 in other approved projects, plus a USD 50,000 government fee. There are additional fees for processing and due diligence.
None of these five passports gives visa-free access to Canada. Indian nationals should also note that India does not allow dual citizenship, so acquiring any of these citizenships ends Indian citizenship.
